When scouting locations it really helps to have experience shooting in those locations. Finding those nooks of light and spaces within a location that really can make a shoot better is invaluable to success. Being totally creative in the moment is a great ideal to strive for but prior proper planning and making notes can relieve stress come shoot day. Reseth did a great job scouting and being a test subject for this shoot. When we apply our Combined Creativity approach to our next project we will be more than ready. I am looking forward to it!

I know I always say it but Melissa, Aaron and Rylan we so great to photograph. Even though the weather was not perfect we had so much fun. Rylan's birthday is in a couple of weeks and to commemorate the occasion we ended the session at Sara Sara Cupcakes. I think I could spend all the money I make on their tasty cupcakes! Another combined creativity shoot with Reseth Photography in the books and another great day living the dream!

It's always great to have support from friends but the greatest joy is to be able to capture beautiful photos of those friends. Reseth is very lucky to have wonderful friends in Kristen and Brad and I was happy to be able to do a combined creativity shoot with them. We had a blast hanging out by the lake and enjoying the afternoon. I love spending time shooting in the beautiful Oklahoma landscape. It seems like this time of year that the quality of light is unlike any other. Kristen and Brad are a great couple and a joy to be around. I it was awesome to have had the chance to get to know them.

One of the things I believe in greatly is collaboration. Photography often times can seem like a solitary venture. It really doesn't have to be. I know there is a community of great photographers and creative minds right here in Oklahoma. I believe to build that community and to make it even stronger we must collaborate and share ideas. A few months ago I decided to team up with Reseth Photography. We kicked around some ideas and came up with the concept of "Combined Creativity" to give our wedding clients something special. We have decided not to limit the Combined Creativity concept to weddings only.
Lately we have been commissioned to shoot some fashion photography. This gives us the perfect opportunity to hone our ideas and experiment with technique in a creative way. Kathleen is a model from the Anthony David Agency and she contacted us for a portfolio shoot. The shoot was really great and I decided to do a combined blog to showcase the work from the day.
The Combined Creativity concept when applied to other projects like fashion photography allows us to bring technique and concepts back to our wedding and portrait photography. We are able to give our clients work that is fresh, creative and informed by all of our successes as creative photographers. I am looking forward to doing more of it!
We are booking weddings and portraits for 2010. We are excited to hear from you. Contact us for prices and to book a shoot.
