Mattie is a really cool young lady. Besides being smart and beautiful she also an amazing athlete. She plays volleyball and when she graduates high school in Edmond she is planning on attending and playing volleyball at Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth. The next year is going to be super exciting and I expect great things for Mattie!

When I hold my new (old) camera in my hands I can't help but think of the tradition of the great portrait artists of the past who labored away creating some of the greatest masterpieces of the 20th century with nothing more than wit, smarts and a simple machine in their hands. I aspire to the same thing. I aspire to be more creative and find inspiration in the past, present and the future. I aspire to give my clients something outside of the box. Sure it may not be for everyone and while digital photography will encompass the majority of my photographic workflow, I am going to reserve exclusive "retro" sessions shooting with film only! Allison - Retro Fashion Session

Amazing!! That's the only word I can use for what I think of shooting with film. It was such a great experience to get t do a part of a fashion session with Allison using a manual film camera. I found it completely liberating relying on instinct and pure photography technique. Allison was really great to work with and completely fun to work with. I also used digital for this session and will be posting a blog of that soon... For now enjoy the Retro Fashion!

Garrick and Keturah - Tulsa Wedding

Garrick and Keturah were married near downtown Tulsa. They are outstanding young people and their families were so great to be around. If you have ever been to Tulsa you know how beautiful the BOK Center is! Their Combined Creativity wedding was outstanding! We decided to do portraits there and use the gorgeous architecture for a backdrop. I love when our couples want to do something outside of the box and get creative for their special day and these photos really made their day special and their wedding day photos awesome! Enjoy!

Camping Trip

Last month I had the chance to go on a camping trip with one of my oldest and best buddies. It was great being in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. Sitting here in the heat and humidity of Oklahoma makes me want to be back there now. I hope you enjoy a few photos from the trip.

Wow! What a week! I had the awesome opportunity to travel through the Rocky Mountains with one of my closest friends. It was absolutely amazing! Being outside, face to face with the grand majesty of nature has always been one of my favorite things. I have always been drawn to the mountains, any mountains. Crested Butte, Grand Junction, Durango, and Santa Fe... are all right up my alley. I thrive when camping by a river on the side of a mountain. I am most in my element when I can see a billion stars flickering and just breath the cool fresh air. Such a place makes me feel lucky and humble to be a photographer.

I am selling select prints from this trip that I love and think would look great on a wall. Each photo is numbered to make it easy to select your favorites. When scouting locations it really helps to have experience shooting in those locations. Finding those nooks of light and spaces within a location that really can make a shoot better is invaluable to success. Being totally creative in the moment is a great ideal to strive for but prior proper planning and making notes can relieve stress come shoot day. Reseth did a great job scouting and being a test subject for this shoot. When we apply our Combined Creativity approach to our next project we will be more than ready. I am looking forward to it!

What an awesome day! I have been photographing Ava since she was just months old. I can't believe she is already three! She has to be one of the cutest kids ever. Michelle and Geoff are great parents and have a beautiful family. I was super excited that they were able to get a combined creativity shoot. Kids love Reseth and she captured some of the cutest shots of the day. We could not have asked for better weather. It was a perfect day! We all had so much fun playing and being silly. I love my job and I absolutely love shoots like this!

I love music and Camille is one of my favorite local singer/songwriters. I was really excited to be able to spend time with Camille photographing her and her guitars! Rather than planning every detail of the shoot we just let things unfold. When I allow myself the time to improvise I usually find unique elements to incorporate in my photos. The blue wall was a lucky happenstance. It really provided an outstanding graphic element and burst of color. I love the barn photos but I think the blue wall is my favorite. Thanks Camille for being so awesome! What a fun shoot!

Anna Marie Costello

I was so excited to be able to shoot Anna Marie again. Anna Marie is currently Miss Oklahoma International 2010. She contacted Reseth Photography and I about doing another combined creativity shoot for her national competition. We all had such a fun time exploring OKC and getting some amazing photos.
