What a wonderful day! Reseth Photography and I had the chance to do a combined creativity shoot in the Wichita Mountains with the beautiful Rosales family. I grew up not to far from the Wichitas and have always love spending time there. It's amazing how varied the Oklahoma landscape is. We ended up shooting in a perfect spot called The Lost Lake. I love shooting with families because you get to see so many personalities and the interaction between people who love each other so much. Brenna is an outstanding mother with some of the best kids ever! They love her so much and have so much fun together. Everything about this shoot made me happy. If you ever get a chance to go to the Wichita Mountains I recommend it. If you get a chance to go with someone you love I recommend it even more!

I have always been inspired by nature. I love spending time outdoors exploring and looking at the small details that make life so beautiful. The curve of a limb or the way light bounces off of a flower, there are so many wonderful visual elements that make up the larger picture. I think it's important to step aside from client work and photograph the world around you. Find things that are inspiring and focus on the details. I always come away from days like today refreshed and inspired by creation. I thought I would share some of my favorite photos from the day. While I would love to travel the world scouting exotic locations, I don't think that is entirely necessary. Reseth Photography and I started in my neighborhood (near the Gold Dome) and worked our way to Lake Hefner. We found some beautiful locations that I think we will be using very soon. Remember, beauty is always all around us! Enjoy the photos!

I know I always say it but Melissa, Aaron and Rylan we so great to photograph. Even though the weather was not perfect we had so much fun. Rylan's birthday is in a couple of weeks and to commemorate the occasion we ended the session at Sara Sara Cupcakes. I think I could spend all the money I make on their tasty cupcakes! Another combined creativity shoot with Reseth Photography in the books and another great day living the dream!

It's always great to have support from friends but the greatest joy is to be able to capture beautiful photos of those friends. Reseth is very lucky to have wonderful friends in Kristen and Brad and I was happy to be able to do a combined creativity shoot with them. We had a blast hanging out by the lake and enjoying the afternoon. I love spending time shooting in the beautiful Oklahoma landscape. It seems like this time of year that the quality of light is unlike any other. Kristen and Brad are a great couple and a joy to be around. I it was awesome to have had the chance to get to know them. 

Spring is in the air! I love this time of year in Oklahoma. The days are getting longer and warmer. It's the perfect time for Combined Creativity location portraits. We had a great shoot with Veronica last week. She is a native Canadian and is here while her father serves at Tinker AFB. We explored some rural locations just outside OKC and found some beautiful places that we will for sure be using again. The end of the day offered such a perfect sunset that set the sky on fire! I am really happy with the results. Enjoy!
